Lower Secondary Global Perspectives

Our Lower Secondary Global Perspectives course helps students develop skills in research, analysis, evaluation, reflection, collaboration and communication. This course also focuses on building cross-curricular skills across subjects such as English, Maths and Science.

The course is taught through a series of challenges, which include developing vital skills such as researching and presenting information with a particular emphasis on thinking critically.

The importance of considering personal, national and global perspectives is a key focus within all aspects of the course.

Course advice

The Lower Secondary Global Perspectives course assumes no prior knowledge and commences from the basics.

Students are encouraged to enrol on the Year 7 course to start with, irrespective of their year of study. This will help students better embed the skills that are an integral part of the course.

This course follows the Cambridge Lower Secondary Global Perspectives Curriculum Framework.

Study time will be 3 hours per week to complete each year of the Lower Secondary Global Perspectives course plus time for completing assignments.
