The Cambridge A level Economics course will give students a thorough understanding of the impact of economics on societies.

Additionally, they will focus on how the market economy influences national and international policy, with an introduction to the causes and consequences of inflation and rates.

How our courses work

Syllabus and exams

This course will prepare students for the Cambridge A level syllabus 9708. The full A level qualification comprises exams at AS and A level, which may be taken together or separately.

Exams take place in March (India & Romania only), June and November.

Course advice

Students considering this Cambridge A level Economics course will need to have IGCSE (or equivalent) grades in:

  • First Language English (C or 4) and Maths (C or 4).
  • The recommended IELTS equivalent is IELTS 6.0/6.5.

Our AS course will take approximately 250 hours of study. Our full A level course will take appropriately 500 hours of study. Both AS and A level courses will require extra time for preparation of the assignments and revision at the end of the course.
